The quantity of light produced by a lighting system is measured in foot-candles using an instrument called a light meter. Readings are taken at specified locations across the tennis court, thirty-six inches above the playing surface. A complete set of readings across the court surface is called a photometric drawing.
In this section you will find computer generated photometric drawings for some standard lighting layouts. We are also capable of producing customized photometrics to meet your specific needs. Contact us with the size of your court and desired layout and we will be glad to produce those for you. A photometric drawing can also help you assess light spill over to see how a lighting system might impact the areas surrounding your tennis court.
